History of NIDEC MATERIAL CORPORATION since 1966 established.

1966 Established Mitsubishi Mallory Metallurgical Co., Ltd., (Capital and technical tie up with P.R. Mallory Corporation in U.S.A. by the cooperation of Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, Ltd. and Mitsubishi Corporation, centering on Mitsubishi Metal Corporation, Mitsubishi Materials
1967 Started to produce electrical contacts
1972 Introduced techniques of synchronous motors and electric timers from P.R. Mallory Corporation in U.S.A.).
1978 Developed cadmium less (CDL) contacts, and started to mass-produce them.
1982 Dissolved the capital tie up with P.R. Mallory Corporation in U.S.A. Changed the name to Higashifuji MFG Co., Ltd., which was wholly invested by Mitsubishi Metal Corporation, Mitsubishi Materials Corporation, now).
1987 Developed reduction gear built-in stepping motors.
1989 Established 100% invested Higashifuji (M) SDN BHD in Malaysia. Started to produce synchronous motors.
1995 Established 100% invested PT. Higashifuji Indonesia in Indonesia. Started to produce synchronous motors and dumper drive units.
1996 Acquired ISO 9001 certification.
2000 Changed the name to Mitsubishi Materials C.M.I. Corporation. Established 100% invested Higashifuji Thai Co., Ltd. in Thailand.(Liquidated in 2012)
2004 Acquired the prize for an excellent work in TPM passing a primal species.
2005 Acquired ISO14001 certification.
2007 Made Sanseiki Co., Ltd. our wholly owned subsidiary company.
2012 Established 95% invested Higashifuji Shanghai Co,. Ltd. in China.
2014 Changed the name to NIDEC SANKYO CMI CORPORATION which was wholly invested by NIDEC SANKYO CORPORATION, and joined NIDEC's corporate group.
2021 Integrated motor sales into Nidec Sankyo Corporation.
2023 Changed the name to NIDEC MATERIAL CORPORATION.
