Structure of the disk music box
The protrusion which is pressed onto the disc hooks the star wheel which is installed in front of the comb teeth and the star wheel flicks the comb teeth. By this structure, it is possible to flick the vibration plate strongly and possible to play the note with much power compared to the cylinder music box, disc music box can incorporate larger comb teeth. Therefore it became possible to express rich music by disc music box. It gradually became the mainstream of music box as "automatic performance device", because you can enjoy the many songs by exchange the discs.
