Structure of the cylinder music box

The pins embedded in the cylinder drum flick the comb teeth, then play the melody.

		Barrel Mainspring serving as a driving source is housed.
		Drum (The part programmed a melody) The projections (called "pins") of the surface of the cylindrical drum is referred the notes in the music. The mechanism is that by rotating drum the pin flick the vibration plate.
		Vibration plate (a portion of the music box sound) We call each plate as "vibration plate" which is divided into something like tooth of the comb. The arrangement of vibration plate is depends on the music.
		Adjustment mechanism (governor) The rotating body (rubber portion) is rotated at high speed, the force of the spring is controlled by the frictional resistance and the speed is kept constant.
		Frame (base of the music box) The frame which is installed a mechanical music box plays a role in resonating the sound and obtaining a rich volume.

Structure of the disk music box

The protrusion which is pressed onto the disc hooks the star wheel which is installed in front of the comb teeth and the star wheel flicks the comb teeth. By this structure, it is possible to flick the vibration plate strongly and possible to play the note with much power compared to the cylinder music box, disc music box can incorporate larger comb teeth. Therefore it became possible to express rich music by disc music box. It gradually became the mainstream of music box as "automatic performance device", because you can enjoy the many songs by exchange the discs.

		Check the meshing of drum and vibration plate at the end and it is completed by final tightening.
